What College Admission says about Youth Exchange:

As an Admissions Counselor and former Rotary Youth Exchange student, I know my colleagues in higher education – and specifically admissions – see international exchanges as valuable opportunities to transcend the traditional classroom experience. At a time where American universities are scrambling to diversify their campuses and create global communities that better reflect our hyper-connected multicultural world, applicants who have participated in exchanges are at a premium.

Michael Murray

Assistant Director of Recruiting, Office of Admissions, St. Bonaventure University, NY

2019-20 Morganne, outbound to Lithuania

June 21, 2020 It is now time to write the journal that I think no exchange student wants to write. I leave in nine days. NINE. It is absolute insanity that my time here is almost over. I honestly don’t think it has hit me yet that I am actually going home; it doesn’t...

2019-20 Aleida, outbound to Croatia

2019-20 Aleida, outbound to Croatia

It has been a very long time since my last journal, which I apologize for. I think something that you don't expect when you go on exchange is to get so caught up in life that you forget that you are there temporarily, and to almost forget that life happened before you...

2019-20 Keiko, outbound to Argentina

2019-20 Keiko, outbound to Argentina

Hey guys! I hope you all are well. In this journal I’ll talk about my school situation, COVID-19 conditions, and what my current life looks like. So far on exchange, my school situation has been quite comical and unique. The academic school year in Argentina is from...

2019-20 Tytus, outbound to Thailand

This is my second journal entry, the outbound to Thailand, Tytus Simmons, from district 6950. As of now, the Corona Virus is causing us all stress. This unexpected turn of events has my trip cancelled, but this just goes to show that anything can happen while you are...
